We learned that some NFL teams express tank in an effort to land their favorite quarterback in the project. There are a few teams that could potentially do just that in 2020.
But we are focusing here on a different group. Instead of teams that might want to lose, we highlight five NFL teams that will run as hard as possible to make it to the playoffs … to fall on their stomachs.
These five teams could unintentionally stink in 2020.
We’re about to find out how much magic Tom Brady has really used in his two decades as the Pats quarterback. Instead of presenting the G.O.A.T. under the center in 2020, the New England offense will be led either by Jarrett Stidham, a fourth-round pick last year, or by veteran replacement Brian Hoyer. All the signs are that Stidham is the guy and the Patriots spoke to him this off-season.
Neither option is so alluring from a fantastic perspective, however, and these guys could also condemn the Patriots in real life.
We know that Bill Belichick will have his defense playing at a high level. It’s obvious. But if the offensive stammers and struggles to score points, the Patriots could go from first to worst in a breathtaking way this season.
