The United Nations on Thursday adopted a Pakistan-sponsored decision calling for the safety of spiritual websites, reviews Radio Pakistan.

The decision was co-sponsored by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and different OIC nations and adopted by consensus.

The decision condemns all acts of threats of violence, destruction and injury directed towards spiritual websites which have continued to happen internationally, particularly in India.

The decision additionally denounces any transfer to obliterate or forcibly convert any spiritual websites.

Pakistan’s envoy to the UN, in a tweet, expressed happiness that the UN Basic Meeting adopted the consensus decision.

“Pakistan will proceed to play a number one function in denouncing violent assaults on spiritual websites,” mentioned Akram.
