Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda launched the Khelo India e-Pathshala program on Monday with a webinar, which was attended by young archers, archery coaches and discipline experts all the countries.

E-pathhala aims to provide online training and education to athletes living in remote areas.

The program was recently launched by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), in association with the National Sport Federations (NSF).

Rijiju said that such initiatives are needed now.

“The unique program will connect athletes from remote parts of India who do not always have access to established players and coaches. I am confident that this program will inspire more young athletes to participate in sport in a professional manner, “said Rijiju in a statement.

Munda, who is also president of the Archery Association of India (AAI), said, “The program will help connect even young archers who are found in small villages and tribal areas and s ‘will ensure that they have access to the best coaches via Khelo India e -pathshala. “

The online learning program will cover 21 sports, including athletics, archery, boxing, cycling, fencing, soccer, gymnastics, hockey, judo, kayaking and canoeing, kabaddi, para games, rowing, shooting, taekwondo, table tennis, volleyball. , weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.

The program will also be followed by senior coaches and observed by a committee of sports scientists, high performance directors and high performance managers.
